Adopt-A-Block ... the heartbeat of the DCLE!

 

In order to begin meeting immediate needs of the community, the Dream Center adopts blocks. 

 

Through Adopt-A-Block, physical needs of individuals and families will be met on a consistent basis leading to valuable relationships and a brighter future for our community. 

 

Our consistent sites are:

Main Street: We love our beautiful downtown and keep it looking beautiful by picking up trash and encouraging & praying for our local businesses. 

Spring Street: Two apartment complexes where we have created intentional community and visit with our friends... talking about life and God, with occasional meals & projects together.

Heald Apartments: An apartment complex where we build relationships with the individuals & children who live there through meals, play days, and construction/clean-up projects.

 

Adopt-A-Block happens every Saturday at the Dream Center Headquarters (114 East Peck Street, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530)

 

9:15am-10am: Prayer

10am-10:30am: Rally & Lite Breakfast

10:30am-Noon: Serving in the Community

What to Expect:

Adopt-A-Block is wonderful for volunteers of EVERY age! 

​

Please come in clothes you don't mind getting dirty (or covered in paint!) and close-toed shoes. Work gloves are helpful but not necessary.

 

We also recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat as it can get hot out there!

If you are interested in bringing a large group* from your church or community, please let us know!

*Groups under 10 have no need to check in beforehand... just show up ready to serve!
